Last week I decided that I am officially on a diet. A real one. I've seen a few photos of myself that were shocking to say the least and I am just not thrilled with how I look. It's important to be healthy and eat foods that are good for you and I need to jump on that train.
While I've loved my recent diet of Arby's, Wendy's, and pasta.... I feel like that may be part of the problem here. :)
I don't think I'll ever be able to cut carbs or stop eating sugar... but I think I can just make wiser decisions when it comes to what I put in my body and be more intentional and proactive about exercise.
I know, I know, I'm picking a really bad time to do all this with the holidays coming up (and y'all know how much I love mashed potatoes) but I will just cheat on those days. Anyone else dieting right now? Any helpful tips or pointers?

I have found My Fit Foods to be extremely helpful to me. I work part-time at a theatre downtown and then go to rehearsals at another theatre most days after work. Since I generally only eat "breakfast" on my way to work (smoothie), I usually eat "dinner" around 4:30 or 5:00. I will go to HEB (mine carries My Fit Foods) and buy 5 meals on Monday and keep them in the fridge at work for the week. All I have to do is heat up one meal-a meal that has been cooked for me, made with fresh ingredients, portion controlled, and low calorie but with staying power!
I know that you work from home and probably cook dinner for you and your husband, but it might be the perfect lunchtime solution. They also sell their meals in various sizes, so you could get enough for both of you to eat. My favorite is the meatloaf! You can order meals online or go to one of their stores and select what is currently in the fridges. The food always has plenty of flavor, which I appreciate as well.
It might be a little pricey, but for me it is worth what I save in time and energy. And just changing my eating in this way has helped me shed about 10 pounds.
