So many of my friends have told me that I need to document my pregnancy... to keep a journal of some kind. I'm not sure how disciplined I will be in that little task but I sure can blog about a few things to make sure it is documented somewhere!
Food:
Lord knows I have to start with food. I love food. I've always thought that I would be a cow during my pregnancy because of how much I love food. Believe it or not, for much of my first trimester... I didn't feel like eating anything. Nothing sounded appealing.... even my beloved carbohydrates. I would cook dinner and eat very small portions.
I have a hard time cooking/looking at/ smelling raw meat. Even walking through the meat section of a grocery store can be unbearable. It makes me feel pukey.
Things I have craved:
Pasta (duh!)
Dairy Queen ice cream cones
Chocolate Milk
Raspberry Jello (strange, I know)
Oatmeal Creme Pies
Fruit Smoothies
Arby's Roast Beef & Cheddar
Tortilla Chips
Anything with red sauce... lasagna, pizza, spaghetti, etc.
Things I have NOT wanted:
Fruit
Veggies
Steak
Fries (this is slowly entering my diet again)
Garlic
Sandwiches
Sleep:
It's getting more and more difficult to sleep comfortably. I'm usually a stomach sleeper and that is becoming increasingly awkward. I also have to get up to pee in the middle of the night so that is a lovely interruption. I'm thinking of buying one of those pillows. (Did any of you use those? Did you like it?)
Clothing:
I first noticed a bump around 14 weeks. It's definitely growing. My sister Jaclyn saved some super cute maternity clothes for me and a few weeks ago she gave me a giant rubbermaid tub. Several pairs of jeans, super cute shirts... I feel so blessed! I also went to TJ Maxx and Marshall's and purchased several shirts that aren't necessarily "maternity" shirts but they will work. I finally stopped doing the rubberband thing to my jeans and am now wearing the elastic waistbands. Not gonna lie... they are pretty comfy!
Weight Gain:
So far I've only gained about 5lbs. Can't we keep it this way?!?
Skin:
I've got some fierce acne going on right now. That is super fun.
Alright, I've got some documentation now. Whew, I feel better :)

yay, i'm so glad you wrote these things down!
ps- my cravings and disgusts with adelaide's pregnancy were almost IDENTICAL to yours!
I used a body pillow both times. Matt named it Harold. I liked it, but later on wanted a support for my back as well, so in came a little throw pillow called Kumar. If you are going to think you will use it I hear the huge pillow you can wrap all the way around you is pretty good.
I couldn't handle raw meat with any of my kids. Cooking dinner for the family was torture, and the trash can was kept nearby. Then again, I was insanely sick with Hannah. I even ended up in the ER to get IV fluids. :(
I just use a little pillow at my back now but I'm sure those huge maternity pillows are amazing! And your appetite will probably come back...mine has come and gone throughout. And yay for elastic pants! It will be hard to go back to buttons and zippers, I must admit :).
Okay - so my pregnancy pillow was a LIFE SAVER! It looks like a huge snake - its really sexy in bed (not) but it will make your sleep so much sweeter. It even has a cushioned expander for the growing baby bump. Mine was called the leach co grow to sleep. You are more than welcome to borrow it!
